Bitcoin (BTC) traded at $81,604.13 at 2:22 a.m. ET (06:22 UTC) Oct. 18, up 0.12% over 24 hours. The snapshot put BTC below the $82,905 20-day exponential moving average (EMA) level used in an October price scenario, while the $84,000 base case remains conditional.

The scenario requires BTC to hold $80,340 support, the 50-day EMA level, on a daily close and recover above $82,905. The Oct. 18 snapshot was above $80,340 and below $82,905, but it did not establish whether the daily-close condition had been met. The update follows an earlier look at Bitcoin’s 20-day EMA test.

Bitcoin’s 24-hour range was $80,729.15 to $81,958.38. The scenario also identified $84,122 as a range ceiling and $87,300 as an extended bullish target. Its $84,000 base case was 2.01% above a reference price of $82,347 dated Oct. 15.

The $84,000 figure is a conditional technical scenario, not a guaranteed outcome.
