Tech Stocks Lift Nasdaq 100 as Chip Index Ends Eight Sessions of Losses
November U.S. crude futures extended their advance to eight sessions, while the 10-year Treasury yield rose to 5.14%.

Large technology stocks lifted the S&P 500 and Nasdaq 100 on Monday, ending an eight-session slide in semiconductor shares even as oil and Treasury yields rose alongside the equity rebound.
The Nasdaq 100 gained 1.2%, and the S&P 500 rose about 0.4%. The Dow Jones Industrial Average finished slightly lower. The PHLX Semiconductor Index returned to gains after eight consecutive declines, its longest losing streak since October 2008.
Amazon climbed 5%, and SanDisk added 5.5%. The rebound was uneven: CoreWeave rose more than 7% during the session but finished about 0.4% lower.
November West Texas Intermediate crude futures rose more than 2%, extending their advance to eight sessions. December Brent crude moved above $110 a barrel. The 10-year U.S. Treasury yield climbed to 5.14%.
The moves followed a week of steep losses in chip stocks, as borrowing costs for AI data center projects drew scrutiny. Monday’s gains in the Nasdaq 100 and S&P 500 did not extend to the Dow.
