A rebound in U.S. technology shares Monday faces a test from SpaceX, Tesla and Meta Platforms earnings this week as investors assess whether profits support expectations tied to artificial intelligence spending.

SpaceX plans to release results after Tuesday's market close. Tesla and Meta are scheduled to report after Wednesday's close. The announcements follow a steep sell-off in technology shares, leaving companies seen as beneficiaries of AI investment under pressure to deliver earnings that match the growth reflected in their stock prices.

Barclays shifted its stance on risk assets to neutral amid fragile share-price moves. The recent decline in AI-related shares has tempered expectations, but pressure on those stocks could continue for days or weeks.

A break below key support levels in the S&P 500 and Nasdaq this week could further confirm a market breakdown. Widespread short-term oversold conditions have offered some support after the decline.

The Wednesday earnings calls begin with Meta at 4:30 p.m. ET (20:30 UTC), followed by Tesla's webcast at 5:30 p.m. ET (21:30 UTC).
