Binance XRP Whale Transfer Volume Falls 44% as Net Inflows Continue
The number of tokens transferred fell 37%, while Binance averaged 9.3 million XRP in daily net inflows during the measured week.

XRP whale transfer volume on Binance fell 44% from the previous week even as the exchange averaged 9.3 million XRP in daily net inflows, showing that large-holder activity and overall flows moved differently.
The number of tokens transferred declined 37% in the weekly comparison. Daily inflows reached 22 million XRP on Oct. 13 and 29 million XRP on Oct. 14.
The weekly figures measure a different period from the 90-day average dollar value of large XRP withdrawals from Binance. That measure stood at $49.7 million on Oct. 20, its lowest level since October 2021. It reached about $3.5 billion in February 2025, when XRP traded near $3.30. The 90-day figure measures the value of withdrawals, not their number.
An Oct. 17 exchange-reserve snapshot put XRP held across exchanges at 11.81 billion tokens, in the 99th percentile of the preceding year. Binance held 2.67 billion XRP, in the 30th percentile of its own one-year range. Its XRP derivatives open interest, a measure of outstanding positions, fell 15.8% from Oct. 4 to Oct. 17, reaching $453 million.
These measures track transfers, exchange holdings and derivatives positions separately. Neither the net inflows nor the reserve balance establishes whether holders sold XRP.
