Polkadot Rises 1.55% in 24 Hours but Stays Below 20-Day Average
DOT was down 5.0% over seven days, while a later reading placed it above its 50-day and 200-day moving averages.

Polkadot (DOT) rose over 24 hours Tuesday morning, but its price remained below a short-term moving average and 5.0% lower for the week.
DOT traded at $1.141 at 9:14 a.m. ET (13:14 UTC) on Oct. 20, a 1.55% gain from 24 hours earlier. Its range over that period was $1.1191 to $1.1792.
At 9:26 a.m. ET (13:26 UTC), a separate technical reading placed DOT at $1.143. The token was below its 20-day simple moving average of $1.1726, while its 50-day and 200-day averages were lower, at $1.1182 and $1.0459. Moving averages smooth price changes over different periods; the three readings put DOT on opposite sides of its shorter- and longer-term benchmarks.
The 14-period relative strength index was 49.0, close to the middle of its range. The MACD histogram registered −0.0120, indicating that the MACD reading was below its signal line at the time of that snapshot. Those indicators describe the measured conditions rather than a future price move.
The latest price was close to the roughly $1.13 recorded late Monday in an earlier market update. DOT had fallen 6.7% over seven days at that point, compared with a 5.0% weekly decline in Tuesday morning’s reading.
