Netflix’s $60 put led its Oct. 23 options chain with 13,588 contracts traded Oct. 19, while a $70 straddle priced a roughly 10% share move ahead of third-quarter results.

Netflix shares closed Oct. 19 at $69.85, down 1%. Other puts in the same expiry drew 5,242 contracts of volume at the $35 strike, 5,021 at $62 and 4,851 at $65. Among calls, 4,700 contracts traded at the $70 strike and 4,664 at $85.

The 13,588 figure counts contracts, not separate trades. A single trade can involve multiple contracts, and volume alone does not show why traders entered a position.

At the Oct. 19 close, a $70 straddle — a call and a put with the same strike — priced a move of roughly $7 through Oct. 23. That was about 10% of Netflix’s closing share price. The measure reflects the size of a move embedded in options prices, not its direction.

These options on Netflix shares are separate from Binance’s Netflix-linked futures contract and spot token. Netflix announced its third-quarter results Oct. 20; the options covered here expire Oct. 23.
