Bitfinex Transfers 100.98 Million USDT to Tether Treasury

Bitfinex transferred 100,980,000 Tether (USDT), valued at about $100.88 million, to Tether Treasury. The token amount matched a separate transfer into the exchange.

The incoming transaction sent 100,980,000 USDT from an unidentified wallet to Bitfinex. It was recorded on Oct. 20 and valued at about $100.93 million. The matching amounts do not establish that the two transfers were connected.

Tether issues USDT, a stablecoin widely used in crypto trading. The incoming transfer was covered in an earlier report on Bitfinex’s USDT deposit.

Bitfinex previously sent 140 million USDT to Tether Treasury in an earlier transfer. The outgoing transaction records a movement of tokens to the treasury but does not establish a trading or price effect.
