Worldcoin (WLD) traded at $0.5892 late Tuesday as open interest in tracked perpetual contracts rose 12.70% over 24 hours, placing the token above $0.55 as outstanding positions increased.

At around 11:49 p.m. ET Oct. 20 (03:49 UTC Oct. 21), WLD was up 7.93% over 24 hours. Open interest reached $384.1 million in U.S. dollar notional value over the same rolling period.

Open interest measures contracts that remain outstanding. It includes long and short positions, so the increase does not show whether traders favored a rise or a decline.

The latest figure covers specified WLD perpetual contracts.

World introduced its banking and finance identity package on Oct. 18. It combines the World ID app, World ID for Zoom and World ID for Agents. World ID for Zoom is generally available, while AgentKit, the developer tools for delegated proofs, remains in beta.

World ID is the project’s identity system, while WLD is its digital token. An April 2025 World Foundation proposal called for applications requesting World ID proofs to pay fees in WLD. The price and open-interest readings measure trading activity, not use of the banking and finance package.
