Polymarket US logged about $8.7 billion in contract volume in September 2026, while sports made up 99.4% of trading since launch at the U.S.-regulated event-contract venue.

The September volume figure counts contracts at their $1 payout value, rather than the price traders paid to acquire them. It measures contract activity, not the cash traders spent.

Sports contracts accounted for 99.4% of Polymarket US volume over the venue’s operating history. Combination contracts, which bundle multiple outcomes, represented more than half of U.S. volume in the final full week of September. Those figures cover different periods and do not give a single September-wide breakdown by contract type.

Polymarket US offers event contracts on topics including sports, politics and crypto. The venue is a Commodity Futures Trading Commission-regulated contract market and operates separately from Polymarket International.
