South Korean cryptocurrency exchange Upbit handled about $997 million in 24-hour trading volume in figures published Oct. 21, with Doodles (DOOD) leading its won markets ahead of Metaplex (MPLX) and XRP.

Volume rose about 63.5% from the preceding 24-hour period. DOOD/KRW accounted for 10.33% of Upbit’s total, or about $103 million. MPLX/KRW followed at 8.45%, or about $84.36 million.

XRP/KRW ranked third with about $74.5 million in volume and a 7.46% share. Bitcoin (BTC)/KRW accounted for about $56.48 million, or 5.66%, while Tether (USDT)/KRW generated about $49.76 million, or 4.98%.

Together, the five pairs represented 36.88% of Upbit’s 24-hour trading volume. Their rankings show where activity was concentrated on the exchange during that period.

XRP/KRW had accounted for 15.57% of Upbit’s activity in a Sept. 24 comparison of XRP trading across exchanges. That reading and the Oct. 21 figures cover separate 24-hour periods.
