U.S. spot Bitcoin (BTC) exchange-traded funds (ETFs) took in $1.0747 billion over three sessions through Wednesday, Oct. 21, more than offsetting a $228.4 million withdrawal tally from the five sessions ended Oct. 16.

Flows were front-loaded and back-loaded. The funds collected $526.7 million Monday, followed by a much smaller $23.2 million Tuesday. Wednesday’s $524.8 million brought the three-session sum to $1.0747 billion. The Oct. 19 and Oct. 21 readings together made up $1.0515 billion, leaving Tuesday’s contribution a small share of the total.

Individual funds moved in different directions during the largest single day. BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) took in $665.2 million on Oct. 19, while Fidelity’s FBTC lost $83.6 million and Grayscale’s GBTC lost $54.9 million. Those withdrawals offset part of IBIT’s gain in the day’s overall $526.7 million total.

On Wednesday, IBIT received $235 million and FBTC drew $212.7 million. Together, the two funds accounted for $447.7 million of the $524.8 million ETF-wide inflow, with the remaining net amount coming from other funds.

Before this run, Bitcoin ETFs had lost a net $228.4 million over the five U.S. sessions from Oct. 12 through Oct. 16. The new three-session gain exceeded that loss by $846.3 million. By absolute amount, the inflow was about 4.7 times the earlier outflow, though it covered three sessions versus five. Bitcoin and Ether ETFs also recorded a combined $150.8 million outflow on Oct. 12, in an earlier session of ETF withdrawals.

Ether (ETH) ETFs lost $103.3 million Monday and $26.1 million Tuesday before taking in $14.9 million Wednesday. Their three-session total remained negative by $114.5 million. The rebound in Bitcoin ETF flows therefore was not matched by a positive net result for Ether funds during the same U.S. trading dates.
