XRP Outpaces Bitcoin (BTC) as Binance 90-Day Whale Outflow Average Hits a Five-Year Low
XRP advanced 3.0% from the Oct. 20 to Oct. 21 UTC closes, versus Bitcoin’s 1.4% gain. The $49.7 million average was last this low in October 2021.

XRP rose about 3% from the Oct. 20 to Oct. 21 UTC closes, more than twice Bitcoin’s (BTC) 1.4% gain, while Binance’s 90-day average for large-holder withdrawals remained near a five-year low.
XRP closed at $1.37 on Oct. 21, up from $1.33 a day earlier. BTC moved from $82,944 to $84,082 over the same period. The percentage changes are approximate because they use rounded prices.
On Oct. 20, the 90-day average dollar value of large XRP withdrawals from Binance was $49.7 million per day, the lowest reading since October 2021. The measure stood at $3.5 billion per day in February 2025, making the October reading 98.6% lower. The earlier report on Binance’s XRP withdrawal average covered the same five-year low.
The metric does not establish the recipients’ identities or the reasons for the transfers. Incomplete exchange wallet labels can make internal movements appear to be outflows. Because the figure is dollar-denominated, XRP’s price can also change the reading without a comparable change in the number of tokens withdrawn.
The measure describes transfers, not completed trades or holder intent. On its own, it cannot establish that large holders are accumulating XRP or explain the token’s price move.
