U.S. real estate benchmarks advanced week over week, while quarterly results and company-specific developments sent individual shares in different directions during a busier stretch of earnings releases.

The S&P 500 Real Estate Index Sector (SP500-60) rose 0.86% to 271.41. The State Street Real Estate Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLRE) gained 0.97%, and the Dow Jones REIT and FTSE Nareit All Equity REITs indexes each advanced 1.2%. The move follows an earlier period when major U.S. real estate gauges gained more than 1%.

Stock performance varied. CBRE Group missed earnings estimates and was among the sector’s biggest decliners. Crown Castle and Rithm Capital shares gained during the week; separately, both companies exceeded certain profitability metrics. Curbline Properties rose after raising its future funds from operations (FFO) guidance.

Company-specific factors also shaped trading. SpaceX’s interest in cell sites supported Crown Castle, while a change in investment guidance weighed on Broadstone Net Lease. Lower revenue from amortization also affected Crown Castle.
