Solana recorded $7.1 billion in tokenized-equity spot volume in Q3 2026, capturing 14% of the $49.7 billion traded across networks as BNB Chain and Robinhood Chain together accounted for 83%.

BNB Chain represented 55% of the quarter’s volume, Robinhood Chain 28% and Base 3%. The quarter’s network-by-network breakdown shows how Solana’s total compared with activity across the other networks.

Solana’s Q3 volume was 40% higher than its $5.1 billion total in Q2. Monthly volume was $1.5 billion in July and $1.3 billion in August, before reaching $4.4 billion in September. Its share of cross-network volume rose from 10% in August to 19% in September.

BNB Chain’s share has a measurement caveat: a Binance Alpha promotion awarding four times the points on QQQB and several other tokens was boosting its volume.

Trading volume measures the value of trades, but it does not establish what rights a token holder receives. Securitize announced a Solana offering on Oct. 8 covering 12 U.S. stocks. Each token represents a security entitlement backed one-to-one by an underlying share. Holders are not registered shareholders unless they convert the entitlement, and the underlying companies did not sponsor or endorse the products. Trading was initially planned for extended hours, with 24/7 access described as a future goal.

The SEC’s Sept. 17 order allows eligible venues to trade some listed stocks through permissioned automated market makers and liquidity pools under temporary conditions. The order also caps eligible symbols and trading volume, protects shareholder rights and gives issuers a notice-and-objection process. It does not authorize every stock-linked token or unrestricted 24/7 trading in the United States.

SEC Chair Paul S. Atkins said the exemption lets qualifying venues operate in a “permissioned environment today while the Commission considers the need for additional action to facilitate onchain trading.” The exemption is scheduled to expire five years after publication.
