Ethereum Queue Holds 14% Less Ether Than Oct. 23 Snapshot
About 1.17 million Ether (ETH) awaited activation Nov. 1, and the estimated wait was nearly 21 days.

Ethereum’s validator entry queue held 1,171,149 ETH at 2:02 a.m. ET (07:02 UTC) Nov. 1, about 14% below the Oct. 23 snapshot, with the estimated wait nearing 21 days.
Three separate Nov. 1 readings put the amount awaiting activation between 1,167,781 and 1,179,545 ETH. Their wait estimates were about 20 days. The figures measure ETH in line to become active validators, rather than the number of people or organizations staking.
Ethereum recognizes deposits in about 13 minutes, then processes new validators through a rate-limited activation queue. The wait can range from hours to weeks depending on how many validators are seeking entry. A solo validator requires at least 32 ETH, while pooled staking options can accept less.
Staking helps support Ethereum’s network security and earns ETH rewards. About 44.3 million ETH was staked, equal to 36.22% of supply, and the displayed annual percentage rate was 2.44%.
The queue’s size does not show why holders are staking or whether they expect ETH prices to rise. Its movement measures the amount of ETH waiting for activation, not market buying or future price direction.
