An altcoin breadth gauge recorded 41 in its Oct. 30 snapshot, as the elapsed time since its most recent qualifying altcoin season reached 399 days. The reading sits inside the measure’s neutral band, below the level used to mark an altcoin season. Earlier coverage of the same gauge tracked its reading on a prior date.

The gauge reviews the prior 90 days of relative performance between Bitcoin (BTC) and a defined group of 50 eligible altcoins. A score of 75 or above marks altcoin season, when at least 75% of the group has outperformed BTC during that period. Scores of 25 or lower meet the Bitcoin-season definition. Values from 26 to 74 are neutral, placing 41 between the two season thresholds.

The historical table puts the average altcoin-season span at 17 days and the average interval between seasons at 67 days. The Oct. 30 count of 399 days was nearly six times that interval. The longest recorded stretch without altcoin season is 486 days, so the current gap is below the record.

Past tallies include 416 days classified as altcoin season and 956 as Bitcoin season. The table has no corresponding total for neutral days, leaving those days outside the two published counts. Its calendar displays years from 2017 through 2026.

These averages describe recorded history; they do not establish a recurring timetable. The index looks back over 90 days, so its score reflects relative performance during that window. It does not show whether the included assets rose in dollar terms or indicate how any particular token may perform. A broad basket reading also does not describe the outlook for each individual project.

The result depends on which assets a gauge includes. A separate 90-day measure uses a group of 100 coins and excludes stablecoins and asset-backed tokens. Because the baskets differ, the two gauges do not measure the same group and their readings are not directly interchangeable.
