President Donald Trump said oil prices rose less during the Iran war than he had expected, without giving a price figure or naming an oil benchmark.

Asked whether the United States could again see gasoline at $2 a gallon, Trump said people would see lower prices. He did not give a timeline or a specific price target.

Trump has previously blamed refinery problems, rather than the Strait of Hormuz, for higher gasoline prices.
