Clearway Energy led a six-company utilities screen with 123.50% year-over-year capital expenditure growth, as investors assess electricity demand, grid capacity, infrastructure upgrades and renewable energy projects.

Brookfield Infrastructure ranked second at 55.42%, followed by Avista at 38.46%. Edison International, Portland General Electric and AES also appeared on the list. All six companies received valuation grades between A and A-minus.

The screen paired capital expenditure (CapEx) growth with valuation grades. Broader interest in utilities centers on electricity demand, infrastructure spending, reliable power generation, grid capacity and renewable energy projects.

Earlier coverage of utilities profitability grades also included Clearway Energy and Edison International, each with an A grade.
