Marc Vanlerberghe resigned as Algorand Foundation’s chief strategy and marketing officer on Oct. 14, adding to leadership turnover as CEO William Herkelrath reviews projects and partnerships.

Vanlerberghe had held the role for about two and a half years. Chief technology officer Bruno Martins left around Oct. 9, while former CEO Staci Warden stepped down in August. Herkelrath succeeded Warden, a transition covered in an earlier report on his CEO appointment.

Herkelrath is reviewing the foundation’s projects and partnerships as it pursues institutional adoption and financial sustainability. The foundation also reduced its team by about 25% in the first quarter of 2026.
