Kamino has appointed two U.S.-based executives to expand its reach among financial institutions and build systems aimed at speeding transaction processing as the Solana lending protocol develops services for institutional users.

Matthew Klopfer will lead U.S. institutional expansion, focusing on broader private-market access and connecting asset-management firms and financial institutions with Kamino’s on-chain credit and liquidity infrastructure. He previously worked at Yieldstreet, which has since been renamed Willow Wealth.

Blake Messer, Kamino’s head of Agent operations, will develop AI-driven systems intended to accelerate transaction processing. Messer previously served as chief technology officer at Cratejoy.

Both executives will report to CEO Michael Weisz and work at Kamino’s New York headquarters. The hires support Weisz’s earlier plan to expand access through APIs and platforms such as brokerages and exchanges, allowing customers to reach Kamino’s lending and liquidity services through financial platforms they already use.
