Dragonfly partner Haseeb Qureshi defended Polymarket CEO Shayne Coplan on Wednesday, saying disputed travel expenses were disclosed, involved no personal flights and have been repaid in full.

Qureshi said Coplan had not used company money for private-jet travel. He also rejected the idea that Founders Fund had discovered the expenses. Dragonfly was one of Polymarket’s largest early investors, Qureshi said, as he laid out his account of how the company handled Coplan’s spending.

Coplan was not drawing a salary when he incurred the expenses, Qureshi said. He said Coplan had disclosed all the charges and that their annualized total was roughly comparable to a software engineer’s salary. None of the airline tickets paid for personal trips, he said.

Qureshi said Coplan initiated the review and repayment process himself. He said the money was returned to Polymarket in full before Coplan began receiving a regular salary. Qureshi described the matter as an accounting issue rather than a question of Coplan’s integrity.
