The Commodity Futures Trading Commission has not approved Kalshi’s proposed S&P 500 perpetual futures, leaving the prediction market’s plans for the product unconfirmed and the contract unlaunched.

A Sept. 23 Federal Register notice states that the agency had not yet approved Kalshi’s proposed rule change. The CFTC’s product listing also marks Kalshi’s relevant perpetual contracts as pending approval.

The filing covers proposed listing standards for perpetual security futures. It does not confirm approval of a specific S&P 500 contract or show that one is available to trade.
