The Fed’s statement is set for 2 p.m. ET, followed by a news conference at 2:30 p.m. ET.
The Federal Open Market Committee is scheduled to release its policy decision at 2 p.m. ET Wednesday, Oct. 28 (18:00 UTC), with a news conference set for 2:30 p.m. ET (18:30 UTC). The decision and results from Alphabet and Microsoft were still pending at 9:04 a.m. ET.
The Fed’s two-day meeting was scheduled for Oct. 27-28. At its September meeting, policymakers increased the federal funds target by a quarter point, setting the range at 3.75% to 4.00%; the Fed said inflation remained elevated.
Alphabet’s third-quarter earnings release is scheduled to come before its 4:30 p.m. ET (20:30 UTC) call. Microsoft plans to release its fiscal 2027 first-quarter results after the market closes and hold a webcast at 5:30 p.m. ET (21:30 UTC).
