Fed's Lorie Logan Calls for at Least Two More Rate Hikes
She backed a pause after 50 basis points of additional tightening. The Fed held rates this week in a 10-2 vote, with Logan voting to hold.

Dallas Fed President Lorie Logan urged policymakers to lift interest rates by at least another half percentage point, signaling a more hawkish path for U.S. borrowing costs that matters to crypto markets.
Logan, a 2026 voting member of the Federal Open Market Committee, called for two or more quarter-point increases. She said skipping an individual meeting would not change the policy objective, and a pause after 50 basis points of additional tightening could give officials time to assess what comes next.
She called failure to return inflation to the Fed's 2% target unacceptable, arguing the current federal funds target range of 3.75% to 4.00% is too low to meet that goal.
The Fed kept rates unchanged in a 10-2 vote this week. Logan voted to hold, even as she argued for further increases. The split captures the difference between this week's decision and her preferred path for upcoming meetings.
