OCC Lists Ripple National Trust Bank Filing as Effective
The filing carries an Oct. 26 effective date after a Dec. 12, 2025, approval; Ripple has not announced when the bank will open.

The OCC’s current record lists Ripple National Trust Bank’s filing as “Consummated/Effective,” with an effective date of Oct. 26. The designation updates the bank’s regulatory status but does not establish that it has opened or begun operating. It follows the OCC’s Dec. 12, 2025, approval and an earlier conditional status.
Ripple’s plan calls for the bank, once open, to manage segregated reserves backing Ripple USD (RLUSD), serve as a collateral trustee and provide fiduciary digital-asset custody. Standard Custody & Trust Company will remain RLUSD’s issuer. Ripple has not announced an opening date.
The settlement plans name RLUSD, rather than XRP, as the asset to be used. Robinhood plans to use RLUSD for institutional settlement on the XRP Ledger, while Ripple and C2FO plan to use it for C2FO Instant Pay transactions. BNY supports custody of XRP and RLUSD; Ripple and BNY are exploring tokenized trade finance, subject to client requirements and final BNY and regulatory approvals. The announcements do not specify expected transaction volumes or XRP amounts.
