Unichain plans to migrate its testnet to OP Enterprise on Oct. 13 and move its mainnet in late October as it prepares to enable native interoperability across OP Stack networks.

The Uniswap-developed layer-2 network is planning the staged migration ahead of a feature that will allow users to transfer assets between OP Stack chains without using a cross-chain bridge. Ether (ETH) will be supported first.

Unichain is one of more than 50 production networks built with the OP Stack, an ecosystem also known as the Superchain. The broader ecosystem secures about $17 billion across OP Stack chains, including assets protected by bridges and assets held on rollups.

The testnet move on Oct. 13 will come before the mainnet migration planned for later in October.
