Polygon Foundation CEO Sandeep Nailwal said Oct. 12 that an additional 22 million Polygon (POL) tokens have been added to the next planned burn, representing about 0.2% of the token’s total supply.

The announcement adds to Polygon’s previously disclosed token-burn plans. The network completed a 100 million POL burn, and Polygon has outlined a plan for another 25 million POL burn in a previously reported token-reduction plan.

Nailwal previously said the 100 million-token burn represented about 1% of POL’s total supply.

Nailwal also said the team has not yet fully disclosed how Polygon OMS will affect POL. More information is expected to be released.
