OneKey has launched tampered.app, a free web checker that reviews hardware-wallet circuit-board photos for visual signs of possible tampering, giving users a way to screen a device with an image.

Users can submit board photos from OneKey, Ledger and Trezor wallets. The service requires no registration and does not save uploaded images. Its result is a screening signal: a flagged image may show a suspected irregularity, while a scan with no flag does not confirm that the wallet is fully secure. The checker reviews the submitted board image, so a clean result is not an assurance about the entire wallet.

OneKey founder Yishi said the tool’s accuracy exceeded 95% in tests involving about 400 user-submitted photos.

The release adds an image-based check to OneKey’s hardware-wallet security work. The company has also outlined planned changes to recovery-phrase backups and motherboard communications in its hardware-wallet safeguards.
