Rome's Hadrian Testnet Lets Ethereum and Solana Wallets Share a Lending Pool

Hadrian settles on Solana Devnet under chain ID 200010 and uses test USDC for fees. Its Aerarium demo offers MetaMask and Phantom routes to one Compound v3 market.

Rome Protocol's Hadrian testnet lets MetaMask and Phantom users reach the same lending pool, giving developers a way to test Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) applications that settle on Solana Devnet.

Hadrian executes EVM code inside a Solana program and uses chain ID 200010. Transactions settle on Solana Devnet, while test USDC covers fees on Hadrian. The public testnet is separate from Rubicon, Rome's mainnet network.

Rome's Aerarium application offers MetaMask and Phantom access to a single Compound v3 pool. From either wallet, testers can supply collateral, borrow USDC, repay loans and withdraw assets. The two interfaces let developers try the same lending functions through Ethereum and Solana wallet routes. A separate Aave v3 lending demo is live on Hadrian.

Developers can obtain test USDC through Circle's faucet on Solana Devnet or Ethereum Sepolia and move it to Hadrian through Rome's bridge. Testing through the Solana wallet route also requires Devnet SOL to pay Solana fees. The faucet tokens have no real-world value.

Beyond the lending interfaces, Hadrian lets Solidity contracts call native Solana programs. Rome's software can complete an operation within one Solana transaction or process a more complex operation across several transactions when compute limits require it. Developers can use the testnet to examine how those execution paths affect their applications.

Rome previously launched ROME for transaction fees on its EVM-Solana system. Hadrian instead uses test USDC for fees, and its lending demos remain separate from Rubicon's mainnet services.
