BitGo Bank & Trust, National Association, supported custody and settlement for tokenized collateral in DTCC’s July 15 production event, putting Canton to work in live U.S. securities trades.

More than 30 firms joined the limited production event. The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC) conducted real transactions involving U.S. Treasurys and equities. BitGo’s role covered Treasury and equity collateral used in institutional repo and reverse repo workflows.

The event also included collateral pledges and securities lending. DTCC converted assets on Canton, a public network that restricts access to transaction information, and on its private network built with Hyperledger Besu.

BitGo’s Canton services began with qualified custody for Canton Coin (CC) in October 2025. In March 2026, it added custody for assets issued under Canton’s CIP-56 token standard, including USDCx and cBTC. The latter represents Bitcoin (BTC) on Canton.

BitGo also introduced electronic trading for CC with offchain settlement through Go Network. That CC service is separate from its role with tokenized Treasury and equity collateral in the July production event.

DTCC is targeting October 2026 to make its tokenization service available. Participants are expected to connect through Canton or Hyperledger Besu, with demand guiding the initial selection of eligible securities.
