XRP Ledger Cleanup Patch Now Projected for Nov. 4 After Vote Reset
The patch returned to 29 votes after briefly falling to 26 of 35. Three proposed lending amendments remain below the votes needed to start their own approval periods.

The XRP Ledger’s fixCleanup3_4_0 amendment is projected to activate Nov. 4 after validator support fell below its threshold and recovered, restarting its two-week approval period. The same roll call showed three proposed lending amendments still short of the votes needed to begin their own approval periods.
At 8:54 a.m. ET Oct. 21 (12:54 UTC), the cleanup amendment had 26 of 35 votes, below the 29 needed to exceed 80% support. Support returned to 29 at 10:46 a.m. ET (14:46 UTC), starting a new 14-day window. By 11:49 p.m. ET that day (03:49 UTC Oct. 22), it had 31 votes. Under the approval rules, an amendment must maintain support from more than 80% of trusted validators for two weeks; a drop to 80% or less restarts the period.
The new schedule replaces the Oct. 23 estimate in earlier coverage of the XRPL vote and patch schedule. If support holds, the cleanup amendment is projected to activate at about 9:46 a.m. ET Nov. 4 (14:46 UTC).
At the latest count, LendingProtocol and LendingProtocolV1_1 each had 19 of 35 votes, while SingleAssetVault had 21. Each needs 29 votes to start its own 14-day approval period. None had reached that threshold, and the proposed lending features had no confirmed mainnet activation date.
The package pairs vault calculation and loan-default fixes with changes to token controls, automated market makers, NFTs, escrow and transaction signing. One fix addresses circumstances in which a delegate with PaymentBurn permission can mint fungible tokens. The cleanup amendment does not activate the separate lending features.
The proposed lending system would pool assets in Single Asset Vaults to fund fixed-term, uncollateralized loans. Borrower underwriting and risk management would remain off-chain, with no automated on-chain collateral or liquidation management. LendingProtocolV1_1 would add closed-ended vaults with subscription, investment and redemption phases and recognize interest as income when payments are made.
The next projected step for the cleanup amendment is activation on Nov. 4, provided it maintains the required validator support through the new approval period.
