Google Cloud Adds OpenAI Models as Customers Gain Model-Switching Choice

Select enterprise customers can evaluate OpenAI models alongside Google and Anthropic systems on Google Cloud, then choose and switch models based on performance, latency and efficiency. The approach gives businesses a way to weigh those factors within one cloud environment.

Google Cloud brings together models from the three leading closed-source AI providers on a hyperscale cloud platform. GPT-6 Astra, GPT-6.1 Sol and GPT-6 Luna are rolling out now in private preview through Google Cloud’s Model Garden. General availability is planned for the coming weeks.

The model-selection options add detail to the earlier Google Cloud preview rollout, which introduced access to OpenAI models for select enterprise customers. The preview is limited to that audience while broader availability is planned.
