Unhedged Adds AI Trading Tools While Barring U.S. Users
Its MCP server has 37 tools and eight workflow prompts, with scoped API keys controlling account and trading functions.

Unhedged has released tools for AI assistants to research and manage prediction-market activity, while its terms prohibit people in the United States from using its website, applications, APIs and related services.
Unhedged announced its Model Context Protocol (MCP) server, version 0.3.1, and TypeScript software development kit, version 0.1.0, in posts dated Oct. 20. Unhedged lists Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Codex and Cursor as compatible assistants. MCP is an open standard that connects AI applications with external tools and data.
The server includes 37 tools and eight workflow prompts for market research, portfolio reviews, order management, combo trading and market-making. In a combo-trading workflow, an assistant can assemble eligible outcomes, request quotes and review them. It can accept a quote when instructed, but quote acceptance and a completed trade are separate steps.
Scoped API keys control account and trading functions, and withdrawals require a separate permission. Public market data can be queried without an API key. Both packages require Node.js 20 or later.
The TypeScript SDK gives developers access to market discovery, account balances, portfolio positions and histories, quotes and order management. It also supports optional WebSocket feeds, which can stream updates to connected applications.
Unhedged’s terms bar U.S. residents and people located in or accessing the platform from the country, including its territories. The restriction covers its website, applications, APIs and related services. The terms also name the United Kingdom, France, Singapore, Ontario, Australia, Belgium and Poland as restricted jurisdictions.
Unhedged manages trading, position records and market settlement. Supported blockchains are used for deposits and withdrawals.
