The version raises the model's maximum resolution from 1080p to 4K. About 20 works are in trials, and a project is planned for satellite TV broadcast as early as November.
ByteDance's Volcano Engine has opened Seedance 2.5 4K, its video-generation model for film production, to 20 studios and directors worldwide, raising the product's maximum supported resolution from 1080p to 4K.
The update adds training focused on facial micro-expressions, subtle movements and image detail. Volcano Engine says the model better preserves the original material's clarity, color and small text during reference-based generation and video editing.
About 20 works are participating in trials. One project is planned for broadcast on a satellite TV channel as early as November.
The release follows a TokenPost comparison of Seedance 2.5 and FLUX 3 Max generation times at 720p and 768p.
