Cardano’s Public Dijkstra Testnet Still Runs Conway Version 11

The planned move to Dijkstra version 12 follows a Node 11.2 prerelease and a hard-fork initiation action. Leios is on a separate test track.

As of Oct. 24, Cardano’s public Dijkstra test environment was running Conway protocol version 11 on node release 11.1.3. Its planned move to Dijkstra version 12 is set to follow a prerelease of node 11.2 and a hard-fork initiation action. No date is listed for the version change.

Public access to the testnet does not indicate that Dijkstra version 12 or Leios is running on it. Node 11.2 is an early testing milestone that does not include Leios, Cardano’s planned scaling upgrade. Linear Leios testing is taking place separately on the Musashi testnet.

The Dijkstra testnet’s name reflects its planned direction, while its current protocol remains Conway. The next listed steps are the node prerelease and hard-fork initiation action. Earlier coverage of Cardano’s public Dijkstra testnet described its opening.
