Ducat’s developer wallet supports Cashu transfers and mint-and-melt conversion for Turbo UNIT on Mutinynet, keeping the Bitcoin-backed asset’s ecash functions inside a test environment rather than supporting mainnet use.

The wallet handles transfers using Cashu unit proofs. It is restricted to Mutinynet and is not a mainnet wallet. Mutinynet is a test network, and its coins have no value.

Ducat’s version 0.0.5 release notes dated May 6, 2026, list TurboUNIT repayment support and a fix for Cashu mint-and-melt compatibility. The app is a developer tool for testing flows.

UNIT is issued on Bitcoin using Runes and backed by Bitcoin collateral. Its minimum collateral ratio is 160%, and its liquidation threshold is 135%. Ducat’s mint server supports UNIT Runes ecash through the onchain method and unit denomination, while listing Lightning support separately for sat.

Cashu tokens are bearer claims issued by a mint. Its blind-signature design aims to prevent the mint from linking a token’s issuance to its later spending, while users still rely on the mint for redemption. The mint trust model for Cashu explains those trade-offs.
