Reports of unauthorized transfers on Polymarket, including a trader’s claimed $800,000 loss, are fueling user concerns about account security and a possible attack on the site’s front end.

Trader Car said on X that about $800,000 was taken from Car’s Polymarket account and that every position in the account was sold. Car also described a separate loss of about $600,000 in a friend’s account. The trader urged users to lock their accounts and avoid interacting with Polymarket’s site.

Other users on X and in Polymarket’s Discord community described unauthorized transfers, including a separate claim of about $200,000 in losses. Some users also said Polymarket’s official website displayed withdrawal-signature requests they had not approved. Polymarket had not publicly responded to the complaints by the time of publication.

Earlier, in June, a third-party vendor was compromised in an incident followed by a phishing attack on Polymarket’s front end. About $2.94 million in user assets were stolen in that incident.
