Apple has scheduled developer testing of its first Apple Intelligence features in China, adding a test phase ahead of the planned December release for users.

The initial set includes Live Translation, Writing Tools, Visual Intelligence and a photo cleanup tool. Supported devices include iPhone 16 and later models, iPhone 15 Pro models and iPhone Air. The test date adds a new milestone to Apple's earlier December release plan for Apple Intelligence in China.

Separately, Apple outlined a partnership with Alibaba to provide users in China access to its Qwen model through Siri, Writing Tools and Visual Intelligence.

The update will not include Siri AI or other next-generation Apple Intelligence features announced at WWDC 2026. Developer beta testing is scheduled to begin Nov. 4.
