Cardano’s Node 11.2.0 pre-release, published Oct. 28, gives DijkstraNet operators a build for integration testing as preparations advance for the planned protocol upgrade, and the release is not recommended for mainnet use.

Cardano (ADA) was priced at $0.1881791 on Binance at 6:56 p.m. ET (23:56 UTC) Nov. 2, down 2.42% over the previous 24 hours. The snapshot’s 24-hour range ran from a low of $0.1862347 to a high of $0.19453.

Node 11.2.0 includes the Dijkstra hard-fork feature set except Leios. Operators can use the build to test DijkstraNet’s transition to the Dijkstra era. Node 11.3 is expected to include Leios, which is outside the current release’s scope.

The release adds a schema-validated configuration envelope and gRPC methods over HTTP/2. The methods include ReadMempool and WatchMempool for reading and monitoring the mempool, as well as ReadEraSummary for retrieving era summaries.

Network configuration files published in the new envelope cannot be read by nodes older than version 11.2. Operators using those files therefore need a node version that supports the new configuration format.

The public Dijkstra testnet remains on Conway protocol version 11, with operators directed to upgrade to Node 11.2.0 ahead of its hard fork. The pre-release is a testnet milestone; it does not indicate that Dijkstra has activated on Cardano’s mainnet. Operators’ next step is to upgrade before the testnet hard fork, while Node 11.3 is expected to bring Leios into the software track.
