Solflare has tightened access to its code and infrastructure as it responds to recent security incidents across the crypto industry, co-founder Vidor said. The Solana wallet now requires multiple approvals for every change and has paused new content.

Vidor said the controls will slow development, but the team is willing to accept that impact.

Separately, an incident involving keys held by Solflare’s staking service provider paused rewards on about 1.56 million Solana (SOL). Solflare later opened a replacement validator and said it would compensate users who transfer their stake for missed rewards.
