Paradigm Releases Solar Solidity Compiler With More Than 100x Average Speedup
Georgios Konstantopoulos said the compiler reached a peak speedup of 159 times and produces smaller bytecode with lower runtime gas use and deployment costs than Solc.

Paradigm has released Solar, a Solidity compiler that its technology chief says averaged more than 100 times the speed of Solc in via-IR mode, while producing bytecode with lower runtime gas use and deployment costs.
Georgios Konstantopoulos, a Paradigm partner and chief technology officer, said Solar reached a peak speedup of 159 times. He also said its bytecode takes up less space than Solc’s output and that Solar beat Solady in some benchmarks without hand-written assembly.
Konstantopoulos said Solar addresses the stack-too-deep problem. The compiler is integrated with Foundry and supports multithreaded compilation and LSP.
The release follows Paradigm’s earlier plan for Solar’s EVM code generation, which was scheduled for the week of Oct. 26.
