Robin Markets will phase out its V1 yield product after adoption fell short of expectations, ending the points program, yield guarantees and matching rewards. The current product is expected to remain available until a replacement launches before the end of 2026.

Robin Markets lets Polymarket users stake outcome tokens on Polygon while keeping their exposure to the markets. In V1, YES and NO positions in each market pool had to be matched before the funds could be combined into USD Coin (USDC) and put to work. Early deposits could sit idle while a pool waited for positions on the opposite side, and the team said the earliest users often received no yield.

The team identified the matching process and Polygon’s changing yield environment as problems for V1. At launch, yields on USDC.e on Polygon were relatively strong, and Robin Markets worked with Yearn. After Oct. 10, more Polygon yield options contracted or became less competitive, the team said, putting added pressure on subsidy-backed yield guarantees.

Robin Markets said the matching bottleneck and weaker yield conditions compounded each other and hampered the product. The next version is intended to address both the matching process and its sources of yield.
