Changpeng Zhao (CZ), founder of Binance, has reacted to Elon Musk’s latest announcement regarding the next iteration of his AI chatbot, Grok. Musk revealed that Grok 3.5—or potentially Grok 4—will attempt to “rewrite the entire corpus of human knowledge,” correcting errors and filling in gaps. The goal is to train future versions of the AI on improved, curated datasets, as Musk criticized existing foundation models for relying on “uncorrected data” filled with “garbage.”
The announcement stirred engagement on X, with one user suggesting the name Grok 4.20, a nod to Musk’s fondness for the number 420 and its link to Dogecoin Day. Known for his meme culture affinity, Musk recently shared a Pepe the Frog meme after a SpaceX Starship explosion during a test run.
CZ responded by citing Musk’s post, expressing curiosity about how rewriting knowledge will unfold. He pointed out that much of what we consider knowledge is rooted in history and opinion—both subjective and heavily debated. His comment highlights the philosophical and technical challenges involved in Musk’s AI vision.
Separately, CZ also shared insights into crypto trading psychology. Commenting on a trader using 20x leverage, CZ noted that publicly displaying large trades can be a form of “advertising” or psychological manipulation. He added that most experienced traders keep their strategies private. When asked about his own trades, CZ said he rarely trades crypto, preferring instead to spend it. He confirmed that all his capital and investments are held entirely in cryptocurrencies.
The interaction between Musk and CZ has reignited discussions around AI development, digital identity, and crypto trading behavior—all central to the evolving tech landscape.
