Jupiter led gains among major cryptocurrencies on Oct. 8 as 64 of 89 tokens declined over 24 hours, highlighting broad weakness despite strength in a handful of smaller assets.

Jupiter (JUP) rose 14.78% to $0.370 by 8:03 a.m. ET (12:03 UTC), ranking 71st by market capitalization. The move extended Jupiter’s earlier gains.

Bitway (BTW), ranked 33rd, climbed 13.42% to $1.37. Algorand (ALGO), ranked 72nd, gained 13.40% to $0.132.

Cosmos Hub (ATOM) advanced 7.63% to $1.81 and ranked 81st. Akedo (AKE) added 7.38% to $0.0299 and ranked 99th.

Pump.fun (PUMP) suffered the sharpest decline among the listed tokens, dropping 10.49% to $0.00575. It ranked 42nd by market capitalization.

Venice Token (VVV), ranked 73rd, fell 7.75% to $24.27. Zcash (ZEC), ranked 10th, declined 7.31% to $1,207.

LayerZero (ZRO) lost 5.73% to $2.01 and ranked 86th, while OKB (OKB) fell 5.62% to $124.19 and ranked 44th.

Of the 89 largest cryptocurrencies, 25 rose and 64 fell over the 24-hour period, excluding stablecoins. Bitcoin traded at $82,430 after falling 1.43%, while Ether was at $2,534, down 1.67%.
