A hypothetical 100-contract taker trade compares Polymarket US and Kalshi through a single price example for U.S. event-contract traders assessing pre-fee costs on both platforms.

At those prices, buying 100 contracts costs $40. Selling them at 60 cents brings in $60, leaving $20 in gross profit before fees. Resting orders and funding methods can shift costs.

Polymarket US is operated by QCX LLC, which the Commodity Futures Trading Commission designated as a contract market on July 9, 2025. KalshiEX LLC received the same designation in Nov. 2020. Polymarket US’s entry into the U.S. market put the platforms in closer competition for American event-contract traders.
