Market-implied odds put an 88.4% chance on the Federal Reserve holding rates at its October decision as of Oct. 28, while pricing left an 11.6% probability of a quarter-point increase.

An earlier market pricing update put hold odds at 85.1% and hike odds at 14.9%. An Oct. 18 snapshot showed an 84.5% chance of a hold and a 15.5% chance of an increase.

The percentages represent market expectations, not a Federal Reserve announcement or decision. The Fed's two-day meeting is scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday, Oct. 27-28.
