Ripple Launches Ripple Mint to Expand Institutional Access to RLUSD Stablecoin

Ripple Launches Ripple Mint to Expand Institutional Access to RLUSD Stablecoin.

Ripple has introduced Ripple Mint, a new platform designed to simplify institutional access to its RLUSD stablecoinby providing flexible tools for minting, redeeming, and managing digital assets. The launch reflects the growing demand for regulated stablecoins as financial institutions increasingly adopt blockchain technology for payments, trading, treasury operations, and settlement.

According to Ripple, Ripple Mint offers institutions a unified platform to access RLUSD through either a web-based interface or direct API integration. This allows organizations to choose between manual workflows and automated processes that fit their operational requirements. The platform enables users to mint and redeem RLUSD, transfer the stablecoin across supported blockchain networks, and monitor transactions from initiation to completion. Businesses can also integrate RLUSD activities into their existing systems for improved operational efficiency.

RLUSD is issued by Standard Custody & Trust Company LLC, a trust company chartered by the New York Department of Financial Services (NYDFS). Ripple emphasized that the regulated structure of RLUSD provides the transparency, compliance, and oversight required by institutional clients.

In addition to the platform launch, Ripple announced new APIs and webhook notifications that enhance automation and visibility. These features allow customers to programmatically monitor account balances, check transaction statuses, and receive real-time updates throughout the minting and redemption process. Uniform reference IDs across fiat and blockchain transactions are designed to improve reconciliation and operational tracking.

Ripple also revealed an investment in Notabene, a move aimed at strengthening institutional adoption of RLUSD and expanding its enterprise ecosystem.

The company is simultaneously broadening RLUSD’s multichain availability. Beyond the XRP Ledger (XRPL) and Ethereum, the stablecoin is expanding to the XRPL EVM Sidechain, Base, Optimism, Ink, and Unichain. Ripple believes this wider blockchain support will increase RLUSD’s presence across cryptocurrency exchanges, decentralized finance (DeFi) platforms, payment applications, and emerging on-chain financial infrastructure.

Ripple added that XRP and RLUSD are intended to work together across key use cases, including liquidity management, settlement, collateral, token swaps, and cross-border payments. The company confirmed that Ripple Mint is already available to existing RLUSD customers, giving institutional users immediate access to its new suite of stablecoin management tools.
